Danielle’s exploration of yoga began in 2013, drawn to the practice for all the familiar reasons–stress, anxiety, pain. Over the years, her path has been shaped by a wide range of studies and experiences, and she holds deep gratitude to the many teachers who have guided her along the way.

She believes in yoga as a process we engage with; an ongoing conversation with the body and the self.

Today, Danielle’s teaching is grounded in a deep reverence for restorative practices and a heartfelt commitment to holding space for others. She is inspired by the power of community and aims to cultivate a welcoming and supportive environment where connection can thrive.

Yoga is a state of being.

Danielle is the owner + steward of Yoga Refuge, taking over at a pivotal and uncertain time in October of 2020. She is grateful to have taken her first yoga teacher training at Yoga Refuge under the guidance of previous owner Kate Holly and an excellent faculty of teachers.

Completing the program catalyzed a profound inner shift, inspiring her to share this practice with others. She is honored to hold the deeply transformative space for the Yoga Refuge community.

Her approach is anchored in five core values: Integrity, Accessibility, Empowerment, Community, and Co-creation. These principles guide her work, and she continually returns to them as she reflects on how she shows up—both in her own practice and in the spaces she holds for others.
